試譯：
新生兒已有發展健全的杏仁核，這是為什麼嬰兒一出生就很容易受到驚嚇。

譯評：
“很懂得驚怕”似乎不符中文的語意用法。建議改為“容易受到驚嚇”。

原譯：(P. 52)
你必須暸解別人有他自己的世界，他自己的觀點，跟你是不一樣的。

原文：(P. 30)
You have to understand that people have their own perceptions of the world, distinct from yours.

試譯：
你必須暸解每個人對世界均有不同的認知及觀點，和你的看法不同。

譯評：
譯者將Perceptions分二句中文處理，用“有他自己的世界”表示，反而讓讀者產生問號。
